I work in a kind of realism which is informed by creating from memory. I often do nocturnes. Night time and darkness have always been a source of comfort to me, not fear. I never tire of painting nocturnal landscapes.

In designing my glassware I blend styles of the 60's and 70's glassware with a modern approach to function. My larger vessels mix graceful forms with complex and interwoven lacey patterns of colored glass. I strive to have my work catch your eye from afar and continue to reveal mesmerizing detail upon close inspection. Similar to fractals in nature containing detail at various scales.
Antonia Textiles
Plants, both wild and cultivated offer constant design ideas: a rosa rugosa blooming on a seaside path or a clematis vine blooming in my garden will become a motif for a textile pattern. I grow leaves and flowers for botanical printing on silks.
Studio 89
The STUDIO89 chapter is just beginning, and we have found an exciting way to keep growing. Having this business is the visible outcome of the invisible essential lesson: allowing the creative process to lead us where we need to go.

Much of my art is influenced by the materials I use - I work only with natural fibers that are locally and/or ethically sourced from small-scale farms or sustainably grown (wool, alpaca, cotton, silk, linen). Much of my work features either natural colors and tones, or fibers that are botanically dyed with local plants and flowers. I focus on artistic structures that allow the natural beauty of these fibers and colors to take center stage.
